Podcasting, Citizen Journalism In The Dissemination Of Research

After the blog, podcasting has become the focus of new medium. The podcasting has experienced a rapid development from 2005 till now. In the background of WEB2.0, the podcasting, based on individuals, brings out a carnival of information in large scale. It has changed both the relation between the news and the individuals and the way of information transmission. The podcasting can be regarded as the most open and individualized medium so far. The podcasting carried out the issuance and share of news all over the world in its own way.From the angle of traditional medium, the podcasting has got the concept of decentralization and people-orientation, which brings challenge to the traditional mode of communication. Citizen journalism, as a new type of communication based on many-to-many relationship,can be seen as a makeup to the traditional way of communication to some extent, and it is also a trend of news development. This thesis centers on the great significance of share information among the public aroused by podcasting. This thesis puts forward some corresponding solving measures to the development and disfigurement of podcaster with reference to the theories of Citizen journalism, Audience-participant theory, Media-function theory and Bachian's Revel-and-dialogue theory. The thesis will analyze the significance that podcasting brings to the citizen journalism on the precondition of the previous research.Chapter two analyzes the significance of podcasting to citizen journalism. Chapter three puts forwards the problems of podcasting in communicating effect, mode, use, eroticism and force in communication. Chapter four discusses corresponding measures according to chapter three. Chapter five analyzes the prospect of citizen journalism brought up by the podcasting. This thesis will discuss the revolutionary change that podcasting brings to the communication research from Bachian's theory, and came to a conclusion about the real effect to citizen journalism. By analyzing the development of modern podcasting, we can make full use of this kind of transmission and promote the development of citizen journalism and deep-seated application.
