Building automation is the comprehensive application of the computer and network technology, automatic control technology and communication technology. The new building control system not only needs convenient and reliable field control, but also faces a lot of system integration problems such as combination structure, coordination and remote monitoring, which involves power supply & distribution, air condition, lighting, elevators, fire protection, security subsystems etc.This thesis presents a design strategy of a building automation remote control systems with B/S architecture, based on distributed control, layering network, concentrated management, remote control. The system monitoring layer is developed by net configuration software WebAccess, performing remote monitoring, diagnose and management. Advantech ADAM-5510EKW/TP is used as main field controller. The independent heterogeneous subsystem accesses to the main system by OPC technology. The designed system was implemented in the intelligent buildings laboratory of North China University of Technology as background.Firstly, the thesis analyzes and designs new network-based remote monitoring system architecture, using net configuration software WebAccess software. A system hierarchical design is utilized to fulfill the requirement of complicated control function in bottom level and the demand of system network control respectively. Secondly, chapter 3 to 5 focus on the hardware and software detailed design process of the system, including the communications network design, PLC programming, configuration screen design. And for heterogeneous systems, the information exchanged between different monitoring software by OPC is introduced.Finally, designed monitoring and management software is able to integrate the various controls and monitoring subsystem, realize the centralized management of heterogeneous systems. The debug and operation result of the BA system within Campus Network indicate that the designed system fulfills desired field control requirements, realize remote data exchange of information, meets demand of BA system.
