| Once one of the signs of apartments, Home/Building Automation Systems now step into our lives increasingly. Known as the "Father of Consulting in Japan", Kenichi Ohmae stated in his book《Invisible Continent》that the 21st century is dominated by the consumer and development of technology often comes from drive of consumers' demands. In the HA/BA field, technology development is drived by people's personal needs.Because of good performance of EIB itself and absorption of other protocols' advantages, KNX is representative of the HA/BA's Future in both technology and application view. KNX is the first open standard in HA/BA, which is independent from all the platforms. As European standard (CENELEC EN 50090, CEN EN 13321-1) in HA/BA field, KNX and its communication media (TP, PL, RF and IR) were authorized as International Standard ISO/IEC 14543-3-X in Nov. 2006.In Nov. 2005, National Standard Association (NSA) draft out National Standard: HBES (Home Building Electronic System)-Control Network, which based on KNX/EIB protocol. Final edition of HBES standard was delivered in Nov. 4, 2006. As National Recommended Standard, HBES-Control Network will greatly promote technology development of Domestic Building Automation and advance the transaction from Nation Standard to International Standard.At present, foreign researches on KNX/EIB focus on the following issues:â—KNX/EIB system solutions based on RF (Radio Frequency) and IR (Infra-Red).â—Research on KNX/EIB communication core in Linux platform and its applications.â—Develop Embedded Gateway to realize monitor/control of EIB bus devices through Ethernet.â—Develop BCU communication core on other micro-controller with KNX/EIB protocol software.Domestic work mainly focuses on the development of KNX/EIB typical devices and research on BCU communication core.The dissertation focuses on the problems mentioned aboved. The main achievements and contents include the follows:1. Overview about HBES-Control Network, National Standard recommended for HA/BA Field, including detailed analysis of system architecture, communication model, application and management. I addressed my own views on Group Addresses Communication (which is most important to KNX/EIB communication), Applications, etc.2. Developed Switch Sensor Device based on Siemens ZC4410CFN, including hardware design of Application Module (AM), self-defined PEI interface between BCU and AM, Application Program (AP) design, function testing.3. Design a solution of Dimming Sensor Device. Identify Switch and Dimming functions by hardware. Instead of self-defined PEI, it used standard PEI defined by system software and can greatly improve developers' efficiency. Based on development experience above, summarized a procedure of KNX/EIB systematic troubleshooting.4. Researched on BCU communication core-ZC441016CFN, analyzed its hardware function and software architecture. Developed a solution of EIB-BCU based on ATmel T83C5122 and Siemens TP-UART-IC. It fully satisfied hardware and software needs of BCU communication core.5. Brought forward a EIB/SMS remote monitor/control solution on Home Automation System. It used common SMS server and Embedded Ethernet Gateway and avoided the problem of traditional remote solution based on telephone or SMS: high cost, complexity, hard to upgrade. |
