Research On And Realization EBI-based Remote Monitoring Experimental Platform Of Building Management System

Building management system is a very important intelligent system of the intelligent building, which integrates the building automation system, fire automation system and security automation system with computer technology, automatic control technology and communication technology, in order to ensure all equipments operate safely and reliably and provide the comfortable, safe, healthy and energy-saving construction environment by controlling and managing each subsystem on the same man-machine interface. The practice is important to study and research the BMS. The BMS experimental system combines BMS theory with practice, to provide an environment of verifying and consolidating theoretical knowledge for students. In the actual teaching, as a result of the time and the region limit, the traditional experiment system can hardly satisfy the opening experimental Lab. Therefore, the paper developed the experimental system with remote operational characteristics.Based on the analysis and research of current domestic and abroad experimental teaching systems and the correlation literatures, the paper provides the network experimental platform plan based both on local and remote experiment—EBI-based remote monitoring experimental platform of building management system, and the building automation system of the experimental platform has been debugged. The user may carry on the experiment both in the local and without restriction on time and place by visiting the laboratory website. The structure of paper is as follows:Firstly, analyzing the current status of the building management experimental teaching, and introducing the building management experimental system. In order to care more users and reduce the restriction of time and place on experimental teaching, the paper proposes the EBI-based remote monitoring experimental platform.Secondly, based on the remote monitoring technology and computer network technology, the paper provides the whole design plan of remote monitoring system, and constructs the EBI-based remote monitoring experimental platform. Adopting the browser/server model, remote users visit the Web server of laboratory by the remote terminal browser, and point-to-point remotely monitor the local equipments through ActiveX controls on the web pages. And the paper takes the air conditioning monitoring subsystem as the example, to confirm the application of the Platform, meanwhile, developing the correlation code. The results show the feasibility of the plan.Finally, carrying out the summary to the subject and proposing the next step of work.
