Simulation Research On Realistic Radar Image

Compared to the real radar, marine radar simulator is more economic and flexible, with the advantages of replication and inheritance. Marine radar simulator has played an important role in maritime education and training after it came into being.In recent years, with the development of image technology and virtual reality technology, users have increasingly demanding of the echo images fidelity on radar simulator. Based on a systematic analysis of the related knowledge on image rendering from Dalian Maritime University marine radar simulator, the thesis improves the method of image rendering in order to obtain the better result of image simulation. The key work involves:Firstly, as the real radar show different image in different tidal condition, in order to reflect the difference effect, the radar data on different tidal condition are created.Secondly, set up occlusion judgment criteria used to judge the occlusion relations between coastline and coastline within.Thirdly, improve the generation method of coastline echo in order to achieve different echo effects depending on the type of the coastline, also, the filling effect in the coastline is obtained and irregular effects of the coastline boundary.
