As the development of entertainment and TV shows, a large number of stars of mass culture occur. The number of fans increases rapidly and they have got focused by the media and our society. The composition of fans becomes complex.Fans have kinds of ways to show their adornment. Meanwhile, the characteristics of fan culture are more obvious. Fans should not be simply construed as fervent fans any more and fans are no longer a fleeting phenomenon. Fans have become the peculiar social and cultural landscape and they already have their own cultural system.In order to study fan culture and its communication, based on the theory of communication and culture, the paper will by analysis fan culture and its communication and explore its value and the problems by observation and talking with fans. Thus, we hope to find the reasons of these problems and the ways for its healthy communication.Fan culture has complex cultural forms and it contains the characteristics of popular culture, postmodern culture and visual culture. The relationship between fan and the media is no longer a simple relationship. For the media, fans are the audience of media and consumer of media products; and they also feedback and participation in media communication. For the fans, media provides the fan communication platforms and catalytic fan culture. Thus, it becomes an important channel for the communication of fan culture. Fan culture communication is an all-powerful form of communication and has a typical mode of characteristics of ritual communication. Fan culture communication has the characteristics of communicator and audience in one and carnival characteristics. Fan culture communication has political, economic, and cultural value and functions.For communication itself, it also of great significance and value.The problems from fan culture and its communication are not only due to fans, they result from the media, the media environment and the culture environment. The psychological and behavioral problems of fans have something to do the imbalanced culture, media anomie, the lack of media literacy. The reasons for these problems are many, the lack of media literacy and media anomie are the main reasons. To keep fan culture communication healthy we need to stick the ideal of cultural values and advanced communication concepts. The crucial way to keep the fan culture communication healthy is to raise fans media literacy and standard the media behavior and fan behavior. The long-term strategy to keep fan culture healthy is to learn the experience of media education of developed countries and build the mechanisms for media literacy education of our country. The urgent affair is to build the mechanisms for the self-regulatory of fans and media.
