With the development of digital satellite communications, the digital satellite broadcasting develops quickly. The digital satellite set-top box products has been widely used. The digital satellite broadcasting has the advantage of good signal quality,wide coverage and low cost,so it provides a good platform for digital transmission. Digital satellite broadcasting can provide a variety of business, in addition to the current maturity of the digital satellite broadcast television business, as well as data transmission services.The thesis presents the software system's design of Satellite Multimedia Receiver project.The project is based on the technique of digital satellite radio.The Receiver software system is based on embedded linux system.According to the function, software system is divided as file receiving module, decoding module, play modules and interface management module. This thesis analyzes the functional requirements of each module, designs and implementations of the file receiving module and the interface management module. The file receiver module is based on multi-protocol encapsulation of MPEG-2 trosport stream(TS) data receiving and storage.The interface management module is the management of software system, which is responsible for system status display, input and output of the processing and distribution of orders.The file receiver module and interface management module have passed integration testing. The results are good.
