Design Of The Controlling System And Muxer Of The MPEG-2/4 Encoder

The digital television is the inevitable trend of development of the broadcasting television industry. With the establishment of relevant national standards, the DTV technology is being widely used in various industries. Expedited by the market demand and advance of techniques, much more digital TV products with more functions will go in to common people's homes gradually.The multi-channel MPEG-2/4 Encoder studied in the thesis is a powerful encoder, with friendly user interface and function of muxer. The encoder has much more functions than traditional encoders, including MPEG-2 decoder,MPEG-4 codec, and RTP transport. The data after encoding can be transported over not only the cable network but also the internet. The encoder is very suitable for application in the digital television station.Two modules of the MPEG-2/4 Encoder are analyzed in the thesis: user controlling module and the muxer module. The software and hardware are used moduled designed, having flexible structure, ease of expansion and conventions. The module of control using a tree menu design ideas, make the design cycle significantly shorter, and optimize the design to use fewer resources of MCU. The GUI interface is also very friendly. And the muxer module can export a MPTS from alternative 1-8 SPTS, a requirement PSI/SI data flow inserted according to the standard. The design mode makes further develop of the software much easier.The MPEG-2/4 Encoder finally completed and met the design requirement. The device has been consumed successfully.
