Under the fierce market competition and the requirements of the development of economy, the key point for the manufacturing enterprises'survival and development turns out to be how to obtain and integrate the manufacturing resources which are then used to evaluate and adjust the productive capacity. Manufacturing-related business activities include manufacturing resource modeling, resource management, intelligence acquisition and product line-oriented allocation of resources, and the integration of these business has become the mainstream of modern manufacturing resource management and it is supported by a large number of functional systems. This paper concerns on the dynamic integration of the information, process and realated application systems. With reference to current integrated application of the manufacturing activities, the methodology of Service Oriented Architecture has been widely used, manufacturing business are described as standard services which are then released and managed on a distributed network platform. A new approach based on Web services is adopted in this paper, by encapsulating the business activities into standard services, those business and serbices related to manufacturing resources management can be classified anddescribed hierarchically.This paper devises a mode of integrated manufacturing resources management whichis based on web services, and organizes the lgical flow of the basic bunisess, by taking advantage fo Object Oriented language UML and modeling tool IDEF to analyze the business procedure which are related to manufacturing activities. Moreover, it constructs a logical architecture of the integrated manufacturing resources management system by using the methodology of user interaction form top to bottom.You can get a understanding of manufacturing management integration roughly through the integration of manufacturing activites based on macro perspective and system-level. Besides that, this paper also analyses the subsystems thoroughly from the pespective of specific manufacturing management-related business, uses UML active diagram to describe specific activities of business processes, and also designs relevant business services composition based on Web services. This paper also carries out some related implementation on Microsoft's .Net platform which is a main technology platform to a achieve Web services.
