Instability and high cost are two obvious disadvantages in control system for traffic guiding display in which a computer is used to play images . So a asynchronous control system for traffic guiding display is designed. In this system a piece of ARM9 is used to be instead of the computer.ARM and FPGA were the main processors of the system which included four parts. They were embedded image play module, image data sending card, image data receiving card, monitor and points detecting card.S3C2440A , the processor of the embedded image play module, is used to play image, accomplish network communication with manage computer, storage and update image data. FPGA ,the processors of image data sending card and image data receiving card, are used to deal with image data including generating frame, accomplishing the function of frame sending and receiving. In order to monitor the environment of the system, monitor and points detecting card gets temperature, relative humidity, smoke information and so on, sends them to up layer device. And also it can detect the quantity and the location of abnormal LED points.System debug show that this control system can accomplish the function of communication, display traffic guiding information ,control and system management.
