My thesis paper makes analysis of the successful experience of the British fashion magazines by using the main methods of documentary and data analysis. The research on the development of British fashion magazines is placed in the historical and social background to explore its own distinguishing characteristics in the main stages of the development., and focuses on the political, economic and cultural factors that produce profound effects. Based on the analysis of British fashion magazines'development , this paper summarizes the inspirations. Otherwise, in the fashion magazines'industry, the prospects of the 21st century reform and development will be put forward .Through probing into the history and current situation of the development of British fashion magazines, this paper states some useful enlightenment and inspirations for the development of the Chinese fashion magazines. In comparison with the current situation in China, suggestions are put forward for the development of the Chinese fashion magazines industry, which are around the spheres of the policy, cultural atmosphere, industrial environment, market mechanism, industry development, and college training.
