Followed by the development of the informationization for every single industry and the whole world, the consideration about the data and information security consequentially came to be a serious issue for every single person. In order to ensure the safety and integrity of data, Disaster Recovery Systems have been discussed intensively as a systematic project and have been widely applied by now.The key part of disaster recovery system is the data back-up technology, which is associated with the deployment and implementation of the policy of recovery. With the development of the network and storage technology, storage network has been able to work as an independent platform to provide storage service, which improved the detentions, efficiency and expandability of storage.Her Nan Radio Management Information System Back-up Centre is in charge of the maintenance and management work for the remote disaster recovery projects of the State Radio Management Information System. Along with the gradually expanding of operation and the increasing of data, it has become very important to build a storage back-up network for the Back-up Center which should be effective, secure, centralized, and with the availability to support different applications.In this article, by using the network storage project of the Back-up Centre as the background, firstly, it will present a detailed research for the prevalent storage technology: DAS, NAS and SAN, including the characteristics, advantages and disadvantages, applicability and the difference between them. Secondly, based on the analysis of SAN and NAS, in this paper, a network storage and back-up system with the combination of SAN and NAS has been designed and implemented, which uses SAN technology for the centralized storage which serves the core business, at the same time, one NAS based on LAN has been introduced for the file sharing access. The association of SAN and NAS can meet the demand of high-performance data access and data sharing, which can reach information integration and data storage.
