Design And Realization Of The Wireless Network Teaching System Based On ZigBee

Education is the foundation of a nation, how to improve the quality of teaching and make full use of educational resources have been continuously probed by the educational circles. But in recent years, with the rapid development of the electronic information and computer network technology, wireless networking technology has matured fast. Combination of teaching and wireless networking technology is an important direction. However, high cost in the teaching field is a huge obstacle for wireless technology to be widely used. In order to change this situation, this article introduces the low-cost and low-power ZigBee wireless technology into teaching field and designs a new wireless teaching system.According to the background of the application of teaching, this paper analysed the characteristics of various wireless network technologies. Based on IEEE802.15.4 and ZigBee protocol standard technical specifications, The overall framework of the ZigBee protocol stack was studied. This paper modified the ZigBee protocol stack layers according to the specific applications in the teaching field, and added a network link maintenance algorithm to existing protocol to ensure the reliability of each node connected in the network. When a node disconnects from the network due to uncertainties, other relevant nodes in the network could respond quickly. It achieved the transmission of text file and the communication of students' nodes under the control of the coordinator. In order to use wireless modules with the PDA, this paper also extended an interface function layer upon the application layer of the ZigBee protocol. It is used to parse the command and data between wireless module and teaching PDA. Finally, this paper accomplished the computer application software used by teachers with VB, then produced wireless modules and made simulation experiments in which the wireless modules were used in conjunction with the PDA.The ZigBee wireless modules have been combined with the existing special teaching PDA in the wireless teaching system. The experimental results show that the performance of the wireless teaching system is stable, the hardware circuit and software architecture design turn out to be feasible.
