At present, multi-stage decimation filter in seismic data acquisition system in a wide range of applications. In the same sampling frequency, multi-stage decimation filter system has a wider bandwidth, and hardware structure is more simple than the analog low-pass filter. The design and realization of Multi-stage decimation filter has great significance.In this paper, the design and realization of digital decimation filter which behind the Sigma-Delta A/D converter of a data acquisition system are discussed.The 1st chapter of this dissertation presents an overview of the Background of this paper, including the development and application of digital filters and the research content and the research meaning of this article.The digital decimation filter is introduced in 2nd chapter. The working principle and the realization by structure of CIC filters are analyzed in detail.In 3rd chapter, introduced the use of MATLAB to design and simulate a digital filter, including the use of toolbox of MATLAB to design filters and design filters with MATLAB language. Then it introduced the use of Simulink, described design and simulation of an example of decimation filter in MATLAB.The method to achieve the decimation filter in hardware system which is made up of FPGA and CPU is described in 4th chapter.The last chapter summarized all work and put forward the innovation and outlook of work.
