With the rapid development of Embeded system, semiconductor and Internet technology,The Embeded system remote image gather system based on Internet is becoming the R&D focus.The paper about a video image system based on the embedded Linux and S3C2410 by combining embedded development technology with Internet technology is introduce. The system catch the video imagethrough the USB camera. The design use the translate and edit interface providing by Video4Linux module to design the collection programme of video image. By compresse The stream medium be transmitted by Internet. It includes the design of software on the server mainly, including realization of the driving and imagegathering applications of the camera, image sending and receiving application by internet, multiple- thread synchronizing and so on. To realize the real time system mutual interface was developed in receiving end.The design has two Parts,To hardware,with USB camara captureing image, cs8900a was adopted to deliver the image to receive end, software introduction will be given from the bottom 1ayer to the top 1ayer,To keep away from software copyright trouble,Linux0S was adopted and was translated to the development board because It is free of charge,meanwhile making use of protocol TCP/IP and multithreading improves the transmission reality greatly,the app1iment of MMAP in dealing with the images decreased system spending,While considering the transmission of all sorts of data package,so in the paper a arithmetic about flux control is described detailedly。Against demand of embedded system , the arithmetic was improved so that a steady image transmission was offered . To a extent ,the system spending was decreased.Finally,a result about flux control is given. The paper also introduced the design of image captureing end software.Testing results show that the system is reliable,and it can capture and transfer image fluently,which mean that the system successfully achieves the expectant goal.and because the extendibility and continous upgrade have been raised while reducing costs,it lays a good foundation to adopt the rapidly changing market.
