The Design And Implementation Of ERP Financial General Ledger And Report System For China Construction Bank

Since the implementation of the counter transactions centralization nationwide, the information construction develops rapidly in China Construction Bank (China Construction Bank is commonly abbreviated to CCB in later content). It is difficult to make financial information more complete and structured by lack effective centralized platform. In order to centralize financial information and set up a single complete accounting ledger in all units of CCB, one decision was made that one centralized financial information management platform would provide to change the current pattern of scattered data nationally. After learning the advanced experience of world-claass banks,the project team created the scientific workflow to meet the needs of financial calculation and future business . The workflow will optimize financial publish information and financial management to enhance the company's core competitiveness and profitability.During the period of detail design analysis should be carried out accord to the business demand of CCB development and the rule of scientific workflow. In the process, the best practices and constraints of the Oracle software should be considered to bring out the detail flow. After comparative analysis of the program, the work about the design of ledger books, the disclosure and accounting treatment of differences in the detailed design and process design, interface and data processing, report design and work flow it was completed.As viewed from business logics the ERP financial system has two main modules: General Ledger module, Report module (for the sake of clarity, the two major modules of the detailed design and implementation will be described as a separate chapter in this article). As viewed from technical logic the system are composed of the desktop layer, application layer, database layer.The design of ledger books adopted the scheme of "single-currency books, many-books rules". The design of accounting subjects adopted the scheme of "nine segments". The design of period adopted the scheme of natural month and audit adjustment period, and the currency adopted a multi-currency approach. In the general ledger module data-processing interface import the external accounting and disclosure of financial data into ERP systems, and it implements the function of interface data definition, accounting data validation and conversion, interface data error handling, interface data reconciliation, interfaces data export and so on. Concentrated at the basis of general ledger, the module provides data for the disclosure of the report.The report module implements the function of the definition of the calculation caliber. It also provides the data of the general ledger report, funding report, performance management report, trial balance report, daily asset report. The report data is distributed to users of various branches through ODS system.In a word, the CCB Enterprise Resource financial report and ledger system were designed and implemented on the basis of analysis of business demand and characteristics and requirements of the development.
