With along the broadcast television numeral which had already started in 2003, our country will stop simulate television to broadcast in 2015, carry out the numeral broadcast television wired, the satellite and wireless of the whole country overlay. First analyzing the principle of the numerical television technique,IPTV STB technique and 802.11n wireless network protocol. Then aiming at the function request of this project, put forward a design project of embedded Linux STB basing on the EM8623L hardware platform.2. Subsequently basing on the EM8623L hardware platform analyzed the bottom resource of the crossing edit chain and bottom equipment drivers, studied the system of the application program and the wireless network program, and discussed the way of the embedded Linux program base on this platform.3. Discussing the characteristic of the embedded Linux, after analyzed the system function of the application, designing the function module of the system, including the program of the receiving and retransmission of numerical television TS flow, the wireless network design, the design of receiving TS flow in the STB,complete design.4. End summary and outlook.Carried on summary to the work of this thesis, and prospect the work of aftertime.Through research about several aspects in the above, we implemented the wireless transmission of the TS flow of multiple high and pure and numerical signal, basing on the 802.11n network protocol, and founded a basis for further research on streaming media technology. We implemented the program of the media centre and STB.
