Android system are analyzed and the advantages and disadvantages of Linux, and according to the specific situation of embedded Linux is chosen as the final software platform, and the set-top box software system structure, Make the Linux platform project management are introduced. In peer-to-peer networks upgrade module, the design of the protocol was finished,including communication between terminal and server, terminal and terminal. Considering the expansibility of the system in the module of live and on-demand, used a layered design idea.
