Research And Realizes Based On The SNMP Network Equipment Performance Supervisory System

Inner Mongolia Agricultural University campus network is undertaking more than 10,000 teachers' and students' daily surfer demand,so the campus net stable,highly effective,and the accurate movement appears the great importance. To achieve this point, In addition to depending on the network equipment itself and the network reliability framework,but also depend upon a set of effective network management method to monitor and the management entire network,network equipment's performance monitoring and the fault handling are the most important. In addition , some attacks, the virus and other unusual circumstances from local area network usually can manifest by each form in the network equipment on exceptionally,so discovery exceptionally in time and carries on processing appears especially important.Based on this situation, coupled with work experience in recent years,this topic make some analysis to the Common network failures,such as equipment interface question,in network loop problems, network attack question,local area network virus question and so on. These question's appearance can by certain formal expression in the network equipment on exceptionally,therefore we may obtain all levels of switchboard's operational factor through monitoring based on the SNMP agreement's network equipment,also can make the judgment and the early warning to the breakdown which possibly occurs,discovers the breakdown promptly in the position,thus improve the efficiency of network management effectively.This system uses the java language development,and uses the B/S structure. To Inner Mongolia Agricultural college campus network's core, The system carries on a total of more than 300 devices for real-time monitoring witch including the core layer, convergence layer and access layer switches of the Inner Mongolia Agricultural University campus network, It achieved the extraction of network equipment performance parameters,and the alarm function of abnormal parameters,it enables the network management personnel first time to be possible to obtain the network unusual information and to judge fault point and the breakdown reason witch according to the concrete parameter. Moreover, this paper evaluated the performance of the system and practicality through the ration data collection ,and gives the possible improvement program.
