High speed milling cutting is one of Advanced Manufacturing Technology (AMT) that developing speedy, and its technological superiority of high cutting efficiency, high treating accuracy and high surface mass satisfies the uninterrupted growth need from manufacturing industry. It has driven a series of development of high and new technology industries, and it has powerful life force and vast application prospect.The unsuitable selecting of high speed cutter or its cutting parameter will make change to cutting layer parameter and cutting load, which will arose concussion to workpiece, machine tool and cutter, and affect machining efficiency of numerical control high-speed machine and machining center. Along with the applying field expanding, the selecting of high speed milling cutter and its cutting parameter has becoming one of the urgent problem that remained to be solved in applying and developing of high speed milling technology.Through studying the joint use of heterogeneous database technology , on the basis of information from heterogeneous databases to exchange and share , discuss the key theories and techniques of the sharing of heterogeneous databases, proposed the strategy of the sharing heterogeneous database and designed to share methods of implementation. The research contents mainly include:For the complexity of the high speed cutter and its cutting parameter, data building technology of relative database is adopted, and physical design for high speed milling database has been done. Establishing entity-relation model to high speed milling cutter and its cutting parameter based on matching characteristic , and analyzing requirement, developing of function model for the high speed milling cutter database has been done. Based on the research of selecting object and constraint condition, system configuration for high speed milling cutter has been advanced. After establishing of multi-objective model, function modules of system developing for high speed milling cutter data base has been studied.Descripted the detail of web-based database development process.A strategy of heterogeneous database sharing was advanced. Ways of the implementation of heterogeneous database shared was designed.
