Exchange Cutter Manipulator is an indispensable part of high-grade CNCmachining center. It’s main role is to cutting cut tool out, then transport, and store itin tool library of on the spindle, and tore the tool cutter out and load it into the spindlein the tool library to reduce time-consuming in changing tools, improving productionefficiency.This thesis focuses on the low speed of the present domestic Exchange CutterManipulator. And analyses Exchange Cutter Manipulator dynamics to obtain theimpact and jerking motion moved small movement parameters of CAM ExchangeCutter Manipulator through the improvement of the CAM curve and a variety ofimplements such as UG, Ansys and RecuDyn, providing theoretical foundation for thedevelopment of high-speed Exchange Cutter Manipulator. The thesis works asfollows:(1)According to the working principle of Exchange Cutter Manipulator, themotion cycle chart is made. Based on general CAM curve, a new CAM curve isdesigned. Compared with the traditional modify sine curve, the new CAM curve hassmaller maximum acceleration and maximum jerking motion. Therefore, the vibrationis reduced and the accuracy of Exchange Cutter Manipulator is improved.(2) A double CAM gearing Exchange Cutter Manipulator is designed. fiveactions are unified by a drive of sword tool out, changing back tool, slotting tool,Thus avoiding the waste of time and improving the transfer speed. Based on thesoftware UG NX6.03d model, Exchange Cutter Manipulator is established andanalyzed.(3) Dynamic simulation analysis is made by the use of RecurDyn, obtaining anew curve Exchange Cutter Manipulator and modifying the motion parameters such asvelocity, acceleration, displacement of sine curve Exchange Cutter Manipulator. Thesuperiority of the new type of CAM curve is proved by the test.(4) Considering the Exchange Cutter Manipulator flexible deformation curve ofCAM shaft and the influence of indexing plate roller and CAM surface contactbetween the gap, a rigidness-flexibility mixed model is proposed. And it is establishedby using Ansys and RecurDyn CAM. And the CAM movement in a real situation issimulated by using RecurDyn/Rflex (rigid flexible simulation module) simulationanalysis of the dynamic characteristics of curved CAM.
