Nowadays, in our country every mobile communication operator possesses a wide network. With the developing of network, type and number of device increasing, networkscharge more and more complex that leads multi-vendor-trouble, in which every vendor provides its own network management system, however, unfortunately those systems can't provide uniform interface and data structure, the worse is that the network management, as a whole, is separated into parts by those systems. It's obviously unreasonable. To find a solution to this problem, operators hope to build Network Management System(NMS) on the based of current systems so that network management are united, including concentrative moitoring, analyzing, optimizing, obtaining information in run-time and control effectively in order to improve level of management, service quality and profit. However, every vendor system bases on different technology and protocol without uniform standard and rule, which brings a big difficulty for NMS building and network extending. So, we need a solution in which EMSs are brought int NMS like components.CORBA (Common Object Request Broker Architecture) is proposed by OMG to use in intercommection between hardware and software system. It provides the standard of orient-object interoperation. It is widely recognized and applied to bank, telecommunication, insurance, electricpower and B2B, and has a good future.CORBA realizes communication among distributed applications. Those applications can communication each other only if they accord with CORBA standard regardless of their developer. Therefore, we relate it with NMS. This thesis is to use CORBA to implement north-interface for EMS. Firstly work out basic requirement of NMC, and build object model on the base of module function. Secondly, describe interface by IDL and map C++ code for Client/Server (NMS/EMS). At last, append business code and compile, debug, generate module of EMS's north-interface.
