Implementation And Research Of NorthBound Interface Adapter Of Network Management System For Transport Network Based On CORBA

As the supporting system of the telecom network, the telecom network management system is a typical, distributed heterogeneous system. Since the network scale become sweeping and to-gether with the increasing businesses of the telecom, the telecom network management system plays a more and more important role in telecom operation. SDH transfer network is a multi-vendor environment. Because vendors' network manage-ment systems have differences in architecture, information model and network management protocol, and this status infects the improvement of SDH network in a large extent, especially infects the communication between the Element Management Layer and Network Management Layer. TMF814 is one of the series standards that TMF put forwarded. This standard solute the problem of the interconnection between EML and NML. But TMF814 only solute the standardi-zation of the EML Northbound interface. The interconnection between EML and private NML is still a big problem. On the basis of the analysis of the incompatibility between EML and NML consist in the telecom network management, this thesis proposed a common northbound interface adapter model. Through the application of the CORBA technique, we implement of the communication between the TMF814 interfaces and the private NML interface, so as to lie the groundwork for integrate network management. Firstly, this thesis summarized the development of SDH at the present time and the applica-tion of CORBA in the network management. Discussed deeply on SDH management network in management function, information model, interface protocol base on the TMN structure. Pointed out the importance of interface adapter aimed at the status of SDH transfer network. Information model is the kernel of network management, and its quality will affect the per-formance of interfaces and even affect the development of a network management system. So it is very necessary to put emphases on it. This thesis analyzed TMF814 information model by layers and provided basis for forming the interface adapter information model. And bring forwarded the feasibility of construct the northbound interface adapter. Finally, guided by the techniques and theories above-mentioned, this thesis brings forward in the project-SDH Transfer Network Northbound Interface Adapter. And primarily realizes the im-plementation of Northbound Interface Adapter in the research by using the technologies such as C++, CORBA etc.
