Analysis And Decoding Of Communications Network Management System North Interface

Nowadays, the communications network already has a large scale. The network includes all kinds of heterogeneous network devices. They come from different vendors or come from different versions of the same vendor. If the EMS (element management system) manages the network, it will appear many types of EMS. The way brings the maintenance a lot of problems. Therefore, establishing a comprehensive network management system above all of EMS is the key to the problem. The interface between the EMS (Element Management System) and the NMS (Network Management System) is called by the NI (North Interface).The protocols of NI solves communication issues between EMS and NMS. Nowadays, many kinds of NI are popular in the communications industry. Such as CORBA, Q3, SNMP, etc. Each NI has its own characteristics. In general, distributed computing environment called CORBA is the most suitable for NMS.As a distributed computing environment, CORBA has many advantages that can be deeply concerned.ⅡOP,ORB,IDL and other mechanisms of CORBA guide the future direction of distributed computing. These mechanisms can shield the differences that come from platform and development language. These mechanisms can make the heterogeneous network interconnect very well.The key of developing CORBA is the design of IDL file. There are many kinds of transmission equipments in the world.We choose the HuaWei's Optix T2000 that is the fiber optic transmission equipment network management system. Based on the IDL files that are exclusively designed, we can use VS6.0 and VisiBroker to map the IDL into client stub. At last, we compile the client application program of NMS. We can extract the Board configuration spreadsheet, network element configuration information spreadsheet from the Huawei's T2000.In the way, we can achieve the purpose of research.At the same time,this thesis also introduces and researches the deciphering method of network management interface.This thesis is the only research theses, and it explores the features of CORBA. If NMS is really effective in the communications industry, it still needs the uniform deployment and the uniform NI made by the relevant authorities. In the thesis, we make the outlook of NMS.
