The development of mobile phone multimedia functionality and broadband mobile communications provides the basis for the combination of mobile phones and 2d barcode. Mobile 2d barcode is a combination product of 2d barcode and the mobile phone. It belongs to combination industry chain of 2d barcode and the mobile phone. Its prospects and development are closely integrated with 3g. 3g mobile video is the most anticipated application.In this article, a mobile video on demand system based on 2d barcode is used for mobile end-user. It is designed to combine the mobile 2d barcode application based on the original video-on-demand system on web. The system is a video-on-demand product, it uses the phone photography pictures of 2d barcode and it downloads the corresponding video. End-user can download and watch the corresponding video resources through shooting different 2d barcode image. End-user can watch wanted video resources and they do not browse the wap sites of video resources. The contents of 2d barcode are the program url of certain type video resources. End-user can shoot these 2d barcode on newspapers and watch wonderful video in anytime and anywhere. They take part in interactive activities. At the same time the mobile video-on-demand system based on 2d barcode can use 2d barcode recharge code as end-user paying way.In the course of thesis work, the domestic and overseas applications based on 2d barcode are learned. The concept and technology of video-on-demand system is consulted. The system is designed in accordance with the software engineering development process and specific product needs. In this article, implementation of the system was to verify the feasibility of the program from the technical research, system requirements analysis, system design and system testing.
