Research On Barcode Recognition Systembased On Android Mobile Terminal

Currently, barcode technology has been widely used in commodity management,production automation, postal, transportation and other fields.At the same time, withthe development of network information technology, especially in the last few years, therise of intelligent terminal devices,represented by smart phones, Mobile Internet accessto the booming, provides new opportunities and greater development space for thebarcode technology, so as to make greater contribution to the building of informationsociety and the promotion of people’s living standards. Therefore, barcode recognitionsystem based on the smart phone has wide application prospect.This article based on the Android phone, did a deep research onthe common one-dimensional and two-dimensional barcode, combined with digitalimage processing technology and built a barcode recognition system with high practicalvalue. Following are the major elements:1. Based on the Android phones to capture imagesDevelop the Android phone’s camera, acquire image data. With the Camera classsystem provided, we can do camera’s open, close, preview, take pictures, focus andother operations, implementing one of the callback methods to obtain image data.2. One-dimensional and two-dimensional barcodes recognitionThis article fully takes the mobile terminal device’s hardware resource constraintsinto account, combined with the feature that one-dimensional barcode only hasinformation in the horizontal direction, vertical direction does not contain information,uses scanning line method to achieve the rapid recognition of the one-dimensionalbarcode; for the QR Code, its obvious Search graphics, can help quickly locate the areaof the barcode symbol so as to achieve quick recognition.3. The barcode recognition system structuresThis paper built a barcode recognition system, which not only has the imagecapture, one-dimensional and two-dimensional barcode quickly recogniton function, butalso has functions like WAP access code to jump, all kinds of application codereader, barcode information collection, web bookmarks collection and so on.
