Research On Service Oriented Network Services Management And Monitoring Of Service Quality

With the rapid development of communication and computer technology, network services have been provided on Internet increasingly. The requirement of service management becomes more crucial because it can improve the usability of network resource, guarantee the service quality and enhance the advantage of network operators. In recent years, network service management has become a hot research topic in network management field. Different network services may need different functions of management and different service quality parameters. These differences lead to the problems that the service management system can not meet the management need of all the services and the management system should always be changed for the change of services. So it is important and meaningful to resolve these problems. Around these problems, we have researched the service management system architecture and service quality monitoring from architecture aspect, key technology of on demand integration aspect and service level agreement aspect in this thesis.First, we introduce the fundamentals of network management and concepts of services, service management and service quality monitoring. On the base of analyzing the status and defect of traditional network management and the requirement of service management, we present the functional model and organization model of service management. And after analysis of service oriented architecture and web services technology, we expose service management system architecture which is based on service oriented architecture and Web Services Technology, and can support on demand management.Secondly, we analyze the process of service quality monitoring and its changeability, and provide an on demand monitoring framework of service quality monitoring system which is based on Service Level Protocol. We also give out the definition of service level agreement which includes the logic of monitoring process. The arithmetic of changing the SLA to monitoring process is described in the thesis too.Lastly we describe the realization of video conference management system based on the architecture we described before. The result conforms that this architecture can resolve the problem of the instability of service management, and the system has good extensibility and can realize on demand service management.As an important network management field, service management still faces a number of technical problems that need to be solved. In the last chapter some of our further research directions in the future have been indicated.
