Avionic bus technology as one of the key technologies in the avionic electronic system, connects airborne electronic equipments and exchanges data between equipments. It is related to whether airborne electronic equipments can normally communicate with each other and complete the common control and operation of the aircraft, information combination, navigation and combat missions. It connects all the subsystems and makes up a unique distributed computer network, so that realizes information sharing and integrated controlling between avionic subsystems in the system.Because of bus technology in avionic systems is in such an important role, so we must strictly monitor the transmission data. Observe the data which transmitted on the bus whether appear deviation, data delay, distortion, jumping and so on phenomenon, so that researchers can better analyze various types of data in the processing of test, and get sufficient useful information for fault location and after-processing. In this paper, I design an ICD monitor software based on the 1553B bus, and build the ICD monitor. At last, I test the ICD monitor software in the system.On the theoretical side, the paper analyzes the characteristics and the development trend of the avionic bus and the characteristics of ICD, and then it summarizes the MIL-STD-1553B standard,component and transmission mechanism. About software design, the paper creates a static ICD database and realizes dynamically updating the ICD database according to the requirement of test, and then it designs ICD monitor software based on 1553B bus using C++ in the Microsoft Visual Studio 2005. The software includes initialization module, data receiving module, waveform comparing module, dynamic defining words module, outcome researching module and file processing module. The software has enhanced features and functionality. On the software test side, the paper builds the ICD monitor test environment and test the monitor software in the system.
