The research content was proposed according to the valve production line of San Tai Bao company. The production process of the original fire valve was that the sheet was cut into segments by the simple equipment with unwinding and cutting firstly, and then they were welded to the type. The production efficiency was low, and welding deformation of valves was larger. In order to improving the production efficiency and the valve quality, the automatic production line of the fire valve was researched and presented based on PLC.Firstly, based on the analysis of valve's research status at home and abroad, this thesis determined the general scheme of production line system. AC servo motor and corresponding driver are used as actuator by comparison of ac dc servo motor, the feed and control circuits of AC servo system are designed. The punching and shearing of sheet is realized by impact cylinder. Then Mitsubishi FX2N series PLC and position modules are used as core controller for the hardware design of servo control system. System control software is designed. By the way, Siemens touch screen is used as man-machine interface for the convenience of changing program and producing different valves. At last, SINMULINK modules are used to simulate the PID control loop in product lines for better positioning accuracy.The experiment on a real machine shows that it can rapidly solve the real time control problem in product lines of fire valve by utilizing PLC, and also solve the problems and shortages of original valve production, realize the automatic production based on control. This improves the precision and quality of the valve, brings the benefit, enhances market competitive for enterprises, and meets the demand of different clients.
