Research On The Correlation Of Daily Topic Between People's Daily And The Sino-Japan BBS In People's Daily Online

There are few domestic researches about the relationship between BBS and the traditional media at present. So this paper takes the Inter-media Agenda Setting theory and the Framing theory as theoretical support, to explore the correlation between traditional media and Internet forums in the frame of "daily topic".With the method of content analysis, this study conducts framing analysis on the information source, subject, theme and keynote about 155 articles of People's Daily and 232 posts of Sino-Japan BBS of Strong Nation Forum, which topics are China-Japan Relations. The Chi-square test results show that, in Sino-Japanese relations topic, there is no significant correlation between the topic frames of People's Daily and the China-Japan Forum. The correlation of the topic fames types between respective types of ID in the Forum and People's Daily is also not significant.Overall, in respective topic frame about Sino-Japanese relations, People's Daily mostly adheres to official perspective,prominently rational and friendly keynote, and Sino-Japan BBS holds Multi-perspective and interlaced keynote, gives consideration to friend and conflict.Through a concrete analysis in Sino-Japanese relations topic, It is found that the main information sources of People's Daily are traditional official media; focus on political and economical subject; Its Attention-degree of"War History theme"and"the Yasukuni Shrine theme"which would touch sensitive nerve is lower than Sino-Japan BBS; rational anti-Japanese tone is emphasized in the Yasukuni Shrine theme, usually expressed by means of excerpting from Japanese media. The information sources distribution of Sino-Japan BBS are relatively balanced and extensive; focus on political, cultural, and historical subject; Its Attention-degree of "Sino-Japanese economic development and cooperation" theme is lower than People's Daily; lay more rational anti-Japanese tone on War History theme.Further analysis is conducted on the correlation of the topic frame between the different types of BBS participants and People's Daily. It is found that, at the aspect of subject and keynote, the Opinion leader ID is prominently different from People's Daily, while the Target ID criticized diffusely is more akin to the People's Daily. Therefore, to some extent the Sino-Japan BBS carries out the function of alternative public sphere.In addition, the topic interaction analysis results indicate that People's Daily exerts stronger agenda-setting impact on Sino-Japan BBS where reciprocal co-orientation exists.
