As one of the core subsidiary companies of Dongfang Electric Corporation, Dongfang Electric Machinery Co., Ltd. is China's important designing and manufacturing base of large power generating equipment. Especially in recent years, with the development of science and technology and progress of society, project scale and the variety of products has increasingly expanded, the structure of large thermal, hydro, nuclear, and wind power generators gets more and more complicated, technical standard more and more high, manufacturing process more and more difficult, quality control more and more strict and manufacturing period shorter and shorter. Since the establishment of quality management system in 1994, the quality management of Dongfang Electric Machinery Co., Ltd. has been improved to a large extent. However, most of the methods still follow traditional means, the shortcomings exist in which no longer meet the requirements of company's quality control and management.If we want the quality management system ISO9001 operate with high efficiency in a long term, a more effective fixing means should be searched, that is quality management information system, however, the quality management in Dongfang still has not realized informationlisation yet. In view of the fact our company faces, to establish a computer information system of comprehensively managing and using quality information is of great significance to improve Dongfang's quality management and pledge product property.The main work and studying results in this paper are as follows: 1.The background and the present grim situation of Dongfang Electric Machinery Co., Ltd. are analyzed as well as the operational procedure of its quality management system, and also the need analysis of Dongfang's quality management is formed. 2. The existing intelligence system is investigated and understood comprehensively and deeply, including the present ERP, PDM and computer network etc. by which to confirm their supporting strength and data interface mode. 3. on the bases of previous work, the constructing goal of Dongfang's quality management is confirmed, the module of Dongfang's quality management intelligence system. Furthermore, the operating environment demand of system is also illuminated in detail as well as each module's actual operation procedure and functions. 4. Cost investigation comparing to other similar companies and cost budget are carried out in this paper, and also the performance and effect by applying this system are estimated.Enhancing the product quality prevention ability by quality management information system and making the process quality information mutually related, high speed unimpeded, making the data shared and automatically transmitted among departments, authentically realizing quality data analyzed systematically and comprehensively, effectively support company's comprehensive quality management.
