As we know, network fault is inevitable, we should quickly and accurately discover, analyze, fix the network fault, which is the basic premise of excluding network fault and ensuring the network uptime. This paper focuses on the accurate and efficient network fault intelligent detection, successfully solved two key questions on network fault detection: network alarm monitoring, alarm event correlation, and designed a system of network fault monitoring, the main research results are as follows:At the aspect of network alarm monitoring, a network fault monitoring algorithm based on the dynamic polling Scheme was proposed in this paper. Firstly,according to forecasting the next polling point state of the managed object, its state tendency is judged; And then the polling cycle is dynamically adjusted by the difference between the forecast value and the actual value. The algorithm has beautifully resolved the contradiction between the cost of network management and the sensitivity of alarm, which are two important technical indicators of network fault monitoring. It not only makes network alarm monitoring maintain a high sensitivity, but also significantly reduces network management cost. The paper analyzed and compared the algorithm performance, and verified the effectiveness of the algorithm through experiments.At the aspect of alarm event correlation, the paper presents an alarm event correlation algorithm based on correlation statistics. Network fault has causal relationship with the network alarm event. Based on the analysis of fault propagation and alarm model, this paper separates alarm events into the root events and concurrent events, which are caused by the same network fault. Through the statistics of correlation degree between the root events and concurrent events which hide in the mass events, each type of concurrent event set is found and is considered as associate rule, then deals with event correlation, locates the fault correctly, effectively filters redundant events, provides the basis for the fault reason analysis.At the aspect of design and implementation of system, this paper designed a WSDM-based network fault detection system on the basis of the analysis of the problems faced by network fault detection and development needs, combining the research results on fault detection, referring to the standard of Web Services Distributed Management (WSDM). The system architecture, component framework and the various functional subsystems were detailed designed and described. According to the algorithms, this paper implicated data acquisition and data processing system, which are the two core modules of the system.
