Internet Fault Diagnosis Based On Event Correlation Technology

With the development of computer science and Internet, the scale of network is growing larger, together with the emergence of more and more network applications. In order to perform high efficiency and reliability, it is very important for us to set up a perfect network administration system. Failure administration is the most important part of network administration, and failure diagnosis is the key technology of failure administration. We bring Human intelligence into this field will make it possible for the failure automatic location and diagnosis.In this paper, we give a new failure diagnosis model based on event correlation, which set failure diagnosis into two phases: failure locating and failure diagnosing. We use the failure relation algorithm in the first phase, and the case based reasoning in the other, which will sure to raise the efficiency of failure diagnosis.Fault Diagnosis is based on the event correlation, graph theory and adjacency matrix are two methods to get the root failure sets. According to the relationship of failures, we give a method to determine the source of failure in this paper, which will perform failure filtration and location function effectively.
