Network Fault Management System Alarm Correlation Analysis And Research

Fault management is one of the most basic functions in the network management, When a net work failures,how to judge the causes,nature and location quickly is the key Prerequisite of troubleshooting. In the network management of telecommunication, the large amount of alarm is the key factor influencing the capability of the network management and the stability of the system .So the implementation of alarm correlation is a fundamental requirement of network fault management.This paper is on the foundation that introduced briefly the rules engine technology, analyze the structure of network fault management system based on rule engine, given the processing procedures of using the SNMP protocol to deal with alarm data collection.efficient Rete pattern-matching algorithms is the core of Rules engine ,the article analyses and researches the Rete algorithm from three aspects——memory space size ,the expenses of adding and deleting an wording Memory Element,and analyzes the process of generating Rete algorithm identification network and it's matching process by using example.Based on this, the article proposes the improvement measure to Rete algorithm from deleting the fact and cancelling Stack signs.After analyzing the efficiency of the improved Rete algorithm, it can reach the conclusion that the improved algorithm not only does not affect the performance of the Rete algorithm, but also speeds up the Rete algorithm, improve the efficiency of the algorithm and saves the cost of space.Alarm Correlation Analysis is a very import module of the network fault management, the article adopts drools rules engine technical to design and implement the alarm correlation analysis in the Eclipse platform with Java language development tools. During the implementing process of alarm correlation analysis,first of all ,drawing up the corresponding business model and rules model according to the different rules , then given the methods to the acquisition of correlation rules and the methods of rules base storage ,and given the process of correction rules engine , in the end ,the article gives the realization of thc process of alarm correction analysis and fault and diagnosis .
