Joint Operation Simulation is one of the hot issues in the military field and simulation field. Simulation Scenario System provides the initial posture and operational tasks for Joint Operation simulation system, and is the important connection between military personnel, operation researchers and simulation tools.As a result of Joint Operation involving a wide range of fields of services, command system, technical equipment and operation process, Simulation Scenario System is incident to problem like man-made mistake, inconsistency of knowledge and so on, result in the accuracy and credibility of can not be simulation scenario guaranteed. the purpose of Simulation Scenario verification is to ensure that the output of the simulation scenario file can truly and credibly reflect the idea and description of operational deployment, combat operation, operational environment and operation process.Current Simulation Scenario Verification has two methods: First is manual check, this method takes considerable time and effort, request plenty knowledge of scenario users, and the credibility is not strong. Second is hardware write-style check, that is, write some fixed check orders in the development of Simulation Scenario System. The versatility and reusability of this method is not strong.To solve the lack of reuse and credibility in existing method of Simulation Scenario Verification, in the background of participating the Joint Operation Simulation Scenario system, this paper puts forward a simulation scenario ontology construction approach called SSOCA (simulation scenario ontology construction approach), and a hierarchical method of Simulation Scenario Verification based on ontology.The main thesis work and innovation is reflected in the following two points:First, based on the research of ontology construction method in home and abroad, this paper puts forward SSOCA approach. SSOCA divides simulation Scenario Ontology into Entities Ontology(EO) and Scenario Ontology(SO) in the situation of battlefield, which according with the network logical structure of the engineering requirements of Joint Operation, and more convenient for hierarchical method of Simulation Scenario Verification based on ontology.Second, this paper puts up an ontology-based hierarchical method of Simulation Scenario Verification according to the character of Simulation Scenario Ontology. In division of language level and ontology level, the method uses the query and reasoning ability of Ontology, and builds auto-calibration framework and expansible verification rules. The method generally covers the content of Simulation Scenario Verification in engineering practices, and satisfies needs of reuse and automatic verification in Simulation Scenario.Third, this paper designs a simulation scenario verification system prototype based on Ontology to imitate the ontology-based hierarchical method of Simulation Scenario Verification.
