The wireless sensor network is constituted by the multitudinous sensor notes which is made of the limited small sensor pitch points. The network has a extremely broad application. The route protocol is a core technology of wireless sensor network, and it primarily manages and maintains the information transmission way between the sensor node and sink. The protocol functions a highly effective information transmits. Therefore it is a core technology to design an effective route protocol to enhance the correspondence connection, decrease the energy consumption, and lengthen the network life circle.This paper described the features of wireless sensor network routing protocol in detail, summed up and classified the existing mainstream routing protocols. And it analyzed the capabilities of typical routing protocols and compared each other.This article studied MintRoute, a route protocol under the TinyOS. According to the energy validity and the current capacity equilibrium flaw of MintRoute, an energy-optimized route protocol, MintRouteEO is proposed. The simulation result indicates that the MintRouteEO performs better in the energy conservation than the MintRoute under the situation that route performance is not deteriorated.Aimed at electronic borderline appplication, we design and implement a new route protocol, named as GTCR. The GTCR divides the network into different levels by sink jump. The level inside does not include a superintendent and each sensor node independently send and receive data. GTCR provides the round transmission and the optimal path mechanism which can solve the routing renew and path change problem because of the ineffective joint. Node in the wheel round transmission is able to balance the current capacity distribution, lengthens the network life cycle,optimal path further enhanse the speed of the feedback data. Experiments show that compared to MintRouteEO,the design of GTCR in the routing establishment, maintenance and the round transmission mechanism has a good performance in the energy-saving and extending the network life cycle.
