Intergrated display and control system of AEW radar is an important part of mission and electronic system, and is also the major tool for on-vehicle operator to implement the observation of task and object's situation on battlefield. It has the following features,such as the control of radar and SSR/IFF, the control and display of special beam scan and IFF system based on the phased array antenna, the sensors detection information display on background map and filter of display elements, the management of mission profile, the BIT of radar hardware and the calibration of radar antenna, and the display of BIT and calibration results, etc.This paper first introduces the background and significance of the intergrated display and control system of AEW radar. With the development of computer technology, and the modular and general taking into account, it puts forward the the thought of selecting the high-performance commercial workstation as hardware platform and the RISC instruction set-based UNIX operating system.Then this paper gives a general overview of the system design requirements and plans. Design techniques and implementation of the intergrated display and control system of AEW radar are emphasized in this article. In order to diversify system function and enhance the ability of intelligence display, it focuses on the management of mission profile, system test of radar, alert of radiant point jamming, privated colormap operation and double cache process,etc. In additional,the more faster and more efficient technology of map generation and display is described in this paper, and lots of coordinate transformation techniques are taken into account.With the rapid development of morden electronic technology, the airborne radar system has more features and more complex structure. To ensure radar system having a good maintainability, providing means of S/W and H/W failure detection which are reliable and effective, and having the isolation and the maintenance service at the software aspect for all levels of users, the BIT control and results display design of entire radar are desicribed.Low sidelobe antenna is important to radar detection in AEW solid-state passive phased-array antenna. Due to a variety of test error, processing and assembly error, the ideal antenna pattern design is difficult to achieve. Several ways of radar system calibration control of antenna and result analysis to achieve the low sidelobe are presented .In order not to process the complex bottom operation by application procedure ,this system uses bottom-encapsulated operating system expand technology which builds a series of general and basic functions of the computer system to complete the function.
