This paper focuses on the realization of short message wireless data transmission by using GSM (Global System of Mobile Communication) as a platform for long-distance signal transmission in monitoring water level. The purpose of this thesis is to design a practical real-time data collection system by using the low-power single-chip MSP430F149 produced by TI to realize the GSM system hardware and software design.In this paper, the status of Water-Level Detective Monitor at home and abroad was set forth and the composition and structure of the GSM system was given an introduction in detail. The basic principles and characteristics based on the GSM network data transmission mode were analyzed and the main GSM and AT command PDU Coding methods were studied. On this basis, this paper discussed TC35 module, MSP430F149 MCU and its peripheral circuit design, and designed the main data transmission hardware circuit and the main program.Finally, the paper summarized the design of the whole monitoring system, which has broad prospects for application, due to the monitor by using the GSM short message and no other network users, with low investment and low-cost, high reliability.
