As rising industry rail transportation has been in a rapid development period, following the domestic Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Tianjin, Nanjing Metro, new subway occurred in Suzhou, Wuxi, Shenyang, Qingdao and Chongqing. Secure and steady service has been offered to passengers through the using of automation equipment of Subway. Optical transmission network with high reliability, high bandwidth and low interference is the backbone choice of subway network.Combined with the mainstream commercial technology and the network at home and abroad of Metro, the different standards optical transmission network of SDH, MSTP, OTN, ASON, MPLS was researched and contrasted in this paper in the system protection, bandwidth utilization, network flexibleness, grain partition, foreground of technique development and adaptability of the maintenance of operational management. The effect of the growth of the demand for Ethernet networks on the transmit network has been taken into account in this paper, and then the SIEMENS OTN products was confirmed as optical transmission network of Nanjing Metro. The actual needs of the Nanjing Metro and the investment cost of the program were given full consideration. In the networking program, the Nanjing Metro access business features and business logic topology was analyzed in this article, and a table of the access business was set down, and the right boards and modules were chosen to achieve the requirements of the application, Nanjing Metro's optical transmission network was in operation in finally, and with good effect.
