As developing of data traffic, MSTP (Multi-Service Transport Platform) technology was widely used in Metropolitan Area Network. The pop MSTP technology includes LCAS, RSTP, MSTP, RPR, etc; it improves the efficiency and ability of data traffic transmission.Currently, most robustness researches are based on ring topology. While the increasing traffic pushes the application of mesh network. The robustness investigation for mesh network becomes a hot issue.This dissertation analyzes the shortage for applying these data technologies on ring network, comparing ring topology and mesh topology with network cost, resource usage and robustness, confirming that mesh topology is better than ring. This dissertation investigates robustness on mesh network with these data technologies based on shortage of applying them on ring topology, getting the strong point and week point of each data technology applied on mesh network.This dissertation offers an idea of applying Multi Spanning Tree Protocol on mesh MAN, investigating the robustness performance for multi-failure when applying MSTP on mesh MAN, also verifying robustness performance by experiment result. |
