As the era of high-definition multimedia comes, driven by consumer needs, HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) has been popularized day by day and its application field gets enlarged. On the occasion of the rapid development of the next opportunity, this article is based on the latest HDMI 1.3a specification carrying on the high-definition multimedia interface chip design.Firstly, this thesis thoroughly analyzed the TMDS transmission principle as well as the composition of the entire interface, and discussed in details the course of their work, also has specifically studied in the HDMI data packet, ranging from its definition and structure, the composition of a variety of audio formats and data mapping to store data packets, related to the audio sampling clock recovery and reconstruction, audio sampling rate requirements, and has given the audio data transmission channel module chart.Secondly, in the foundation of researching and analyzing the audio data capture module, according to I2S Specifications and IEC 60958,the IEC 61937 standards, the thesis designs the audio receiver module using hardware description language Verilog HDL, successfully implements the I2S,S/PDIF audio data capture, also has carried out the simulation analysis with the ModelSim function simulation tool.Finally, the error correction code which must be used in the data island period has been studied, this thesis has analyzed and succeeded to find BCH(64,56),BCH(32,24) code source, inquired into in its standard generation polynomial g(x), and find its primitive polynomial. In the light of cyclic code conditions to reach Abramson strong boundary, obtaining this code which is strong boundary Abramson system cyclic code after Abramson (127, 119) shortening formation has been shorted by 63 and 95 separately. According to Abramson catch error code decoding circuit design, to seek for the error pattern of corresponding syndrome and then carried on the decoding to correct, the paper has come up with practical availability of error correction coding and decoding circuit, and carried out a simulation analysis, the circuit is able to correct and achieve encoding and decoding.
