Programme And Research Of Remote Automatic Meter Reading System Based On GPRS

Automatic Meter Reading System (AMRS), which realizes data extraction and transmission, is the core of remote wireless data transmission system. It brings great convenience to the automatization of water, electric and gas. Because of the low construction cost and high transmission rate, wireless data transmission system has received a great deal of attention, which has become the effective complement to the wire data transmission. Remote wireless automatic reading system based on GPRS has been programmed and researched in this thesis aiming at the problem of data communication for the automatic reading meter system.By scheme comparison, requirement and functional analysis of the system, the communication schemes of RS-485 bottom BUS and GPRS top BUS which meet to the requirement of the automatic reading system are chosen in this thesis. Mutual communication between concentrator and collector is realized through RS-485 BUS. The hardware of concentrator is composed of GPRS module MC55 and MCU MSP430F147. By TCP/IP protocol and GPRS network analysis, the Internet access scheme of concentrator is designed, which realizes the data auto-reading from data collection point to remote monitoring center. The system has the characteristics of low power dissipation, low cost, simple implementation, upgrade ability and easy to extend.
