With the rapid development of communication technology, how to transmit information fastly and efficiently is increasingly concerned in our life. Due to the application of GPRS technology, communication and transmitting information anywhere is convenient for people. Besides, due to the growing popularity of embedded systems applications in recent years, communication equipment becomes smaller and more intelligent. Therefore, by virtue of the characters of embedded systems, research and design on wireless communication module is concerned.A sort of wireless communication module based on Windows CE and GPRS was studied in the paper. S3C2410 processor based on ARM9 core was chosen as hardware chip and TC35i module of Siemens was chosen as GPRS module. Windows CE was chosen as embedded operating system in this solution. Windows CE and application software which ran on the platform of S3C2410 processor was used to control GPRS module to complete the function of making a call, receiving and sending short messages. The solution reduces the system volume efficiently and it makes the system become more flexible and portable. Besides, by adding modules, the system can be used in the actual fields of electric power maintenance, security monitoring and etc.The technology background of study, practical meaning and research status was introduced firstly in the paper. Embedded system and the function of GPRS module was analyzed. The overall solution of wireless communication module based on Windows CE and GPRS was put forward. Then, the technology of Windows CE was analysed in detail, including the principle and establishment of BSP, the application of Platform Builder and the design of device driver. The driver of serial port was transplanted and Windows CE kernel which was the foundation of achieving the function of GPRS wireless communication module was customized in the solution. After that, the communication process of GPRS was discussed, including initialization of GPRS module and AT command. The encoding and decoding style of short message was analyzed in detail. At last, the function of making a call, receiving and sending short messages by GPRS module was achieved under the terminal. The some experimental results were given.Finally, the completed jobs was summarized in the thesis. The shortcomings and the methods that need to be improved were pointed out in the paper, which made some guidance for the further study. |
