Design Of ILab Remote Experiment System Based On LabVIEW And LonWorks

This paper designed a remote experiment system which can share the experiment resource and equipments through the Internet.According to the problems of high investment costs,poor scalability and management of experiment equipments in the original experiment system of DUT(Dalian University of Technology) iLab,this paper presents a solution which combines the LonWorks and LabVIEW virtual instrument technology to the construction of the remote experiment system.This solution is to build an integrated remote experiment system based on the iLab merged structure which can offer virtual experiments and real experiments.This system can realize teaching,operating,administrating in experiments and has good security and extendibility.At present,the experiment platform has been developed and over 50 experiments including the virtual and real ones have also been developed according to the platform.The experiments cover the fields of Electrical Motor,Building Automation,Electrical Engineering and Electronics Technology,etc.The practice proved that this experiment system is helpful to aided teaching and enhancing teaching quality,and it's worthy to popularize.This paper mainly introduced the structure of the iLab remote experiment system based on LabVIEW and LonWorks.It focused on the design process of the remote experiment platform and some key technology applied in the construction of the system.This paper is divided into six parts.In chapter 1,the background,purpose and significance of this subject as well as the relevant background knowledge of remote laboratory,virtual instrument and LonWorks have been introduced,and the main task of the graduation thesis has been also given.Chapter 2 introduces the original experiment system and its existing problems,and presents the solutions according to the problems.Chapter 3 detailly describes the process of constructing the remote experiment platform useing MCU and LonWorks technology.In Chapter 4,the LabVIEW experimentâ…¥design is introduced.Chapter 5 introduces the principle of the iLab experiment system and its application in the remote experiment system of this paper.Chapter 6 mainly discusses some key questions and the solutions of building the system.
