Research Of Remote Meters-reading System Based On LonWorks Technology

The LonWorks technology, one of the many fieldbus technologies developed in recent years and available as an open standard to all manufacturers, now has been widely used in the automatic areas ranged from industry, building, transportation, to power system. The task builds the system of remote meters -reading(water meter, watt-hour meter, gas meter and heat meter) based on LonWorks technology. The system provides versatile methods for building and managing the control networks.In this paper, after the different solutions for AMR are demonstrated, the solution of AMR based on the LonWorks technology can be supplied, and its feasibility is analyzed. The automatic meter-reading system concludes three parts: energy-consuming meters, domestic intelligent end and supervision center. Great emphasis has been put on discussing domestic intelligent end and energy-consuming meters.In this paper, two solutions for domestic intelligent end have been produced, and their constituents of hardware and operating principle are introduced respectively. Meanwhile these solutions are analyzed in construction and function. In this paper, the different design solutions of energy-consuming meters are put forward. And making the electronic watt-hour meter as an example, its constituents of hardware and software are introduced in detail. Finally the test shows that the watt-hour meter has good accuracy, consistency and stability.
