The Design And Implementation Of Environment Subsystem In ILab

With the development of the enterprise strategy adjustment and rapid growth of business, enterprise is expecting more from IT technology. To achieve continuous development, four problems must be solved for enterprise application:1.How to enhance isolation of resources and secure user data 2.How to improve usability.3. How to improve scalability 4.Standadlize developing technology.Environment Subsystem is part of iLab system and it is divided into five modules: environment management module, environment permission module, environment virtual machine module, environment physical client module and environment network module. Environment management module improves resource isolation. Environment permission module satisfies growing security requirements. Environment virtual machine module offers virtual machine service. Environment physical client module allow user to add physical clients into environment. Environment network module provides network division based on VLAN technology. Environment Subsystem home page is designed to integrate these five modules. Apart from that, the upgrade of virtualization solution has standardized the management of resources as well as improved the system’s scalability. The thesis also introduces two vital techniques to build hybrid-network:network management based on vCenter DVS and switch management based on SNMP.During the refectory of Environment Subsystem, a frontend structure is designed based on plugin pattern. It is used to implement Environment Subsystem home page. This design improves the usability and prevents known memory leak issues. The plugin design also standardizes front-end development and it is very easy to extend for future online collaboration and storage management features. Currently, the system has finished its pilot test and is being prepared to release for use of growing number of customers, and Environment Subsystem will be the home page.
