Remote Control Based On Lonworks Technology Research And Application

With the rapid development of computer network technology, Control systems and control technology trend to open, intelligent and networked. At Present, the remote control network, which integrates fieldbus and Internet, becomes an important scheme in remote control. In a remote control system, fieldbus is used to realize the control task, and Internet is used to realize the integration of control network and information network. So users can realize remote control by Internet. This integration can content modern enterprises' requirement, which want to integrate administration and control with each other. It is also the result of competition in industry area and enterprise area. It will have important intruction and reference value on maintaining or promoting remote control systems where the places are out of the way or very dangerous.LonWorks technology was developed by Echelon Company in America in 1991. Owing to LonWorks' advantages and Echelon Company's endeavor incessantly, LonWorks has already become one of the most poplar fieldbus in the world.In this paper, three experiments had been done to prove that devices on LonWorks could be remote controlled, that these systems are basing on LNS DDE Server or LNS or i.Lon 100. By comparing on the three systems, one system which control mode is based on LNS DDE Server has some advantages: lower development cost, more mature technology, system administration, lower hardware requirement, more convenient user operation, and so on. So DDE control mode has been chosen to apply on Remote Meter Reading System (RMRS), which use power line to communicate.A Remote-metering Management Software System (RMSS) has been designed and accomplished after analysing the demand on function, performance and datum of RMRS. And it mainly includes information management, meter reading management and user management. By using this software, user can get the datum on remote electric meters regularly or realtime. At last, some test such as function test performance test and exception test, has been done on RMSS, and the result satisfy demand.
