The ZigBee wireless sensor network (WSN) platform and its key technology was studied in this paper. A wireless sensor system for ZigBee was designed and implemented. Realized the function of collecting of environment information for humidity, pressure, temperature and transmitting transmission of measurement data. On the basis of this design, a method of using of LTCC to reduce the size of wireless sensor system was proposed. and the problem in LTCC circuit design was analyzed. Providing the preparation for the miniaturization and modular of WSN node.The content of the work is analysis of technical theory of ZigBee wireless sensor system, such as technical features, architecture and z-stack protocol stack. Research on the resource of CC2430 chip; include MCU core, RF module and A/D converter. According to the requirement and specification of CC2430, the main circuit was designed, and according to the project, sensors was selected and sensor circuit was completed. Considering the effect of transmission, the schematic, print–antenna and system PCB layout was accomplished. The code for sensor system based of z-stack was composed, realized the capabilities of multi-channel environment data acquisition and wireless transmission. By actual test the wireless transmission distance up to 100m, reached the ZigBee specification and project requirements. And on the base of above, we analyzed and studied the related LTCC circuit technology, material selection, design of passive components and wireless sensor system design.
