Chinese media is the important information dissemination medium in Chinese Community, as well as in Southeast Asia, which is one of the main settlements for overseas Chinese. Philippines is not the country with the most overseas Chinese in population, however the overseas Chinese in Philippines share a strong cohesion. Chinese immigrants have arrived in Philippines for several thousands years, who have played pivotal roles in Philippines' commerce, industry and economy. Most of the Chinese Philippines come from Banlam, who have deep feelings on their ancestral home and always pay highly attention to their motherland. At present, there are five Chinese newspapers in Philippines: "World News", "United Daily", "Chinese Commercial News", "Sino-Fil Daily" and "Philippine Chinese Daily".Among the five Chinese newspapers in Philippines, the "World News" has the largest circulation and the most influence. Through the analysis of "World News" in its newspaper style, management characteristics and the development status, this paper will search the approach for the survival and development of Chinese newspapers in Philippines and Southeast Asia, under the new circumstances with an increasingly competitive tendency in media industry.
