Investigation And Study On Current Social Reading Situation In Jinlin Province

It is an important activity in people's life to read. Reading is main means and important way to know the world, with the development of society, people's behavior of reading is changing.This text starts with reading, the historical activity that mankind is engaged in, defining the concept of reading. The origin and history of reading are also explained separately. The research results of reading are summarized from ancient times to the present, from foreign countries to our country.The research angle of view turns to the library from the former main body, the object, the main body research. It have a positive significance to compare with the practice activity that library does in promoting reading for displaying library function well.Through the questionnaire and on-the-spot interviews about the reading situation in Jilin Province, the original data is obtained. Some problems are discovered by statistical analysis. The purpose of this investigation lies in finding the potential problem between libraries and reading, understanding the basic present situation of readers, making prediction to the trend of reading in the future, finding out that the reason why the obstacle happens is reading and library. The following conclusions we get through making investigations: People's behavior of reading is changing, more people like the utility of the simple reading and purpose of the recreation type to read; Though a lot of people complain that have no time to read, it is still a part of most people's life to read; Family, it is where people like most, however, the collected books of the family are not optimistic in construction ,It is looks contradictions that family's collected books and people like studying at home; The parent-offspring is relatively bad; The library becomes the most ideal place to study beyond the family; In the future network reading will become more popular; As a new developing way of reading - " move and read " and is favored by more and more people. In order to improve compatriot's quality, the library should adopt various tactics and joint community to promote reading behavioral emergence.
